Many of you already know that Alex and I got married in Costa Rica this past April! It's taken me forever to post the photos because I've been so busy since then. Anyway, the wedding was pretty much amazing. AMAZING!!! We had such a great time in Costa Rica and we're looking forward to going back for a visit soon. One week there simply isn't enough time to see everything.
I really want to thank everyone who helped make our wedding so memorable. Aimee from Tropical Occasions was our wedding coordinator and she was nothing short of extraordinary. We seriously couldn't have made the wedding happen without her. Thank you so much Aimee! Also a big thanks to out photographer Jose Villa. Jose's photos are incredible. While Alex pretty much planned a majority of the wedding, the one thing she let me have my say on was the photography. There isn't anyone else I would have chosen to capture the day for us. Thank you Jose!
We also did a Day-After Session with Jose and Aimee the day after the wedding. Why not right? Costa Rica is the perfect backdrop to get gorgeous photographs. I'll have to share those in a different post so this one isn't too large. I had a hard enough time just narrowing down this wedding post to 35 images, haha! I might be a little biased though. If you want to get a better feel of the atmosphere of our day, feel free to click play on the slideshow at the end of this post. Now on to the wedding!

Alex bought be a instax mini polaroid camera for my birthday last month! I wanted to test it out before we leave for Costa Rica next week so I took a few shots outside my studio over here in the heights. So far I like it...I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do at a beautiful, sunny location. It's kind of gloomy out today. Anyway, here are a few frames...enjoy.

This is the funniest thing ever...whoever wrote this is a genius! A friend of mine showed it to me the other day and I'm seriously thinking about switching Old Spice. Talk about good marketing! Anyway if you have 32 seconds for a good laugh, watch the commercial below.

And the most amazing part about that commercial is that the only CGI portion of it is the diamonds and the bottle rising out of his hand. The rest was done all in one take.

One of the things I'm definitely going to do this year is to try and make this blog more personable. Lately I've only been sharing weddings and portrait shoots, but so much more has been going on in my life and business right now. I'm getting married in less than two months (Costa Rica baby!!), bought some cool gear to play with, further decorated my studio (still haven't posted pics yet and it's been 8 months), hired an associate photographer, getting ready for WPPI and tons of other stuff!

Because I don't always have time to prepare pictures for blog post, there are going to be a lot more post without images or just one or two at the most. I figure it's better to keep this place updated regularly than to have long gaps between blog post. So I'm opening myself up for questions...if my brides have anything they'd like to ask me or have me share, feel free to leave a comment and I'll talk about it here. That goes for photographers as well! I know I don't always respond to all the emails I get from you guys but I'm going to try to get better at answering those questions here.
With that said, check out these shoes that I'm planning on buying for the wedding! I designed them on converse.com and I think they look pretty sweet! I still might go with a nice pair of brown dress shoes but I can't help but think about how fun these would be ;) What do you think?
